U.S. Senator John F. Kennedy will arrive in Morgantown at 3:15 pm this afternoon on his primary campaign jaunt into West Virginia and will climax his visit here with a talk at 8 o'clock tonight at a public reception in the Hotel Morgan.

His tour this afternoon will take him to Sterling Faucet, to Scott's Run and other points of interest, to The Shack (Miner's Memorial Center) for a talk and reception at 4pm, and back to the hotel for the reception beginning at 8pm.

Although his talk will open the reception at 8 o'clock, he will remain in Morgantown until late in the evening to greet personally everyone attending the reception.

Co-chairmen for the Kennedy visit here-George Fumich and Herman V. Walker - said everyone is invited to both receptions at The Shack and the Hotel Morgan, and especially urged shoppers and store workers to come meet Kennedy after stores close at 9 pm. Refreshments will be served.

Senator Kennedy's wife, "Jackie" will accompany him here today.

Kennedy is opposing Senator Hubert Humphrey in the May 10 preference presidential primary.

Humphrey will not return to the Mountain State until April 25. Humphrey said he had to stay in Washington because of "pressing" legislation.

However, his wife Muriel will start a three day tour Monday on behalf of her husband's candidacy. She will visit Charleston, Clendenin, Gassaway, Sutton, Buckhannon, and Clarksburg.

Kennedy's wife, Jacqueline, will campaign with her husband during his three-day stumping of the state this week.

Kennedy returns to the Mountain State amid growing reports of a "Stop-Kennedy" coalition.

He previously had appealed to the voters of West Virginia to recognize the fact that only he and Humphrey were entered in the Mountain State primary.

Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) reportedly advised all voters that have other presidential preferences to vote for Humphrey.

Kennedy's religion will also apparently play a big part in the final outcome in West Virginia which is 95 percent Protestant. Kennedy is Roman Catholic.

Both Kennedy and Humphrey have stated they want the primary to be decided on what the candidates have done, not on religion preferences.

Kennedy today will have coffee-and-donut session at a Clarksburg hotel then will leave for a glass factory for a tour.

Following the tour he will leave for Fairmont and Morgantown where he will tour some more plants.

Monday night he will leave for the Wheeling area where he will spend all day Tuesday. While in Wheeling he will speak at Bethany College and have a reception at West Liberty State Teachers College.

Following the tour of Wheeling, Kennedy will fly to Beckley where he will spend the night.

On Wednesday the Democratic presidential hopeful will visit Beckley, Mt. Hope, Oak Hill, Fayetteville, Gauley Bridge, Montgomery, Cedar Grove, Cabin Creek, Charleston, and Huntington.

Kennedy will resume his West Virginia campaign on April 25 for three more days.
