Senator John F. Kennedy, candidate for the Democrat nomination for president of the United States, will carry his West Virginia political battle into Bluefield today.

He is waging a bitter campaign against Senator Hubert H. Humphrey of Minnesota in the West Virginia May 10 primary.

He is scheduled to speak over WHIS-TV, Channel 6, at 7 o'clock tonight, and then go to Glenwood Park to speak at a public meeting.

While here he will also visit Bluefield State College, Concord College, Bramwell areas, and Princeton.

Campaigning through Huntington, Wayne, Williamson, and Logan areas yesterday, Kennedy kept flaying the Eisenhower administration, as he has been doing repeatedly in his Mountain State campaign.

His theme changed little with each stop Monday, as he kept maintaining the "administration in Washington is and has been indifferent to areas suffering from depressed economic conditions."

He stayed from any reference to Senator Humphrey yesterday. Even though the results of the primary will not be binding on the state's delegates to the National Convention, both Kennedy and Humphrey have said they need to win in West Virginia to make a good convention showing.

Kennedy flew into West Virginia from Oregon, starting his current campaign at Huntington and making many quick stops on his way into Logan.

As both he and Humphrey have done before, Kennedy Monday assailed President Eisenhower, Associate Press dispatches say, and took "a swipe" at Governor Cecil Underwood.

At Wayne, the Democratic aspirant contended that Underwood was "acting on instructions from the Republican National Committee" when Underwood criticized Kennedy last week.

Underwood, at a news conference, had denounced both Kennedy and Humphrey for "exploiting West Virginia's economic troubles for political gain."
