Militia in the service of the State of West Virginia in the suppression of the late rebellion that certain accounts here to fore approved by me in my official capacity. To wit, Infavor of Seth Spurlock $20.00c One in favor of Robertson Spurlock for $46.75 One in favor John Spurlock for 70.00c One in favor of Zadock Miller for $14.00 One [illegible] of G. Wismear $6.50c are earned and just that the subsistance and supplies were necessary to the public interest and as the period therin [sic] named could not be procured either from The united [sic] States or the State of West Virginia
