Dear Sir
I seat my self to ask you the reason why you did not sent me money as well as my men was not sent around [unreadable text] you allow me for 10 more nths [sic] & 20 days now Sir iff [sic] I must serve ten months and 20 days for the dutiful sum of 100 dollars and besides furnishing the Company about 5 month iff [sic] this is what I have to and if with I am served and broke up my time up to the last of February you will please Se [sic] the governor and ask him to send me the rest of my day up to the last day of February I have since that time been out everyday and to day I came to Charleston after some ammunition I have are [unreadable text] from the orderly Sargent [sic] of my Co and you will send me that role and that time book that I left with you by the first male direct to Charleston [unreadable text] 126-------
and by so doing will oblige me iff [sic] the governor dont intend to pay me any thing I would like for him to say so there is [unreadable text] 00 dollars coming to me besides what I have paid out for the [unreadable text] post of the Co you will please answer me without delay yours truly
