New Superintendent of Police Body Here for the Organization
Colonel Jackson Arnold of Weston Arrives in Capital and is Busy With Initial
Arrangements.

Colonel Jackson Arnold, of Weston, has arrived in Charleston to organize the new Department of Public Safety of which he has been chosen superintendent by Governor John J. Cornwell.
Colonel Jackson stated that no appointments have as yet been made to the subordinate positions, nor is there anything to announce as yet.
At present, he is busy selecting proper uniforms, and arranging for transportation of the members through the railways, according to the provisions of the law.
