The friends of the new State of West Virginia, in Hancock county, will meet as follows: At New Cumberland on Tuesday evening, the 25the inst; at the Franklin School-house on Wednesday evening, the 26th, and at the Court-house on Friday evening, the 28th. The above meetings will be addressed by Geo. McPorter, J.H. Atkinson, D. Donahoe, James G. Marshall, H. Hibbetts, Joseph S. Pomeroy and others. All the friends of the new State are requested to attend the above meetings.
