U.S. COURT. -- Judge Jackson Presiding -- In the U. S. Court yesterday a Grand Jury was empanelled, and a number of witnesses sent before it.
Application was made for a writ of habeas corpus in the case of Walters, a soldier claimed to be under 18 years of age. The case was argued by Jas. S. Wheat, on behalf of the soldier, Prosecuting Attorney Smith and A. B. Caldwell, Esq. The case was laid over till this morning.
