Eds. Intelligencer:
The following resolutions were unanimously adopted by Company B, 6th West Virginia Infantry. We respectfully ask you to find room for their publication in your columns, that those patriotic citizens who in your city have done so much to promote the soldiers welfare and happiness in their arduous duties, may know that we fully appreciate their kindness and works of love.
Resolved, That we most respectfully tender our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to the members of the Soldiers Aid Society of Wheeling, through whose benevolence a bountiful supply of poultry and oysters were furnish through Surgeon J. T. Whorton to the troops stationed at this post. We desire to unite with the patriotic doners in the sacred observance of this time honored day, and join in thanksgiving and praise to Him to whom all praise is due.
Resolved, That we also feel that our gratitude and thanks are equally due the patriotic and loyal ladies and citizens of Clarksburg for a supply of pies furnished in the same manner. We kindly tender to each and all our highest regards and best wishes, hoping we may all be spared to partake many thanksgivings under a united and happy country.
Resolved, That the above resolutions be published , through our officers, in the Wheeling Intelligencer and Clarksburg Telegraph.
