Gen. Lightburn had his headquarters yesterday at Grafton. Gen. Kenley, the brave Marylander of Front Royal fame, had reached Clarksburg with several thousand men. It was thought that our forces there would endeavor to overhaul the enemy. We have no idea, however, that anything will come of the attempt. -
The raiders are nearly all cavalry men and have secured good horses and can make any time needed to escape. They have secured enough booty and done enough damage to do them for awhile, and will quietly withdraw for reflection and further observation.
