A Thrilling Incident. - A letter from Upshur county give an account of a fight which took place in that country, one day last week between Mr. Jacob Loanberger and Jacob P. Booth, a rebel soldier. - The two men had lived as neighbors before the breaking out of the war, and the best feeling had not prevailed between the two. Recently Booth entered the house of Loanberger and presented a revolver at his breast threatening to shoot him. Mr. L. at the proper moment seized the revolver of the assassin and directed its contents into the wall of the house. At this point the wife and daughter of Mr. L. came to his assistance, one armed with an axe and the other with a club. Mrs. L. inflicted a severe wound in Booth's skull with the axe when he thought it best to beat a retreat which he attempted to do, but Loanberger still holding on the to the revolver discharged three shots into the assassin's body. Booth died in a very short time afterwards.
