The West Virginia Division of Culture and History and the West Virginia Commission on the Arts will host “Arts Day at the State Capitol” at the State Capitol Complex, Charleston, on Thursday,
March 8, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The event celebrates the vitality of the arts in West Virginia; the impact the arts has on cultural growth, economic development and education; and how the arts brings together artists, arts organizations and art enthusiasts from across the state.
This year’s event will be held in the upper rotunda of the State Capitol. More than 40 individual artists and arts organizations will be on hand to share creative talents, ideas, and answer questions. These groups include the Appalachian Children’s Chorus, Tamarack Foundation, Blenko Art Glass, Greenbrier Valley Theatre, Morgan Arts Council, Fairmont State University and the Huntington Museum of Art among others.
