Seventeen high school choirs from across the state will participate in the First Lady’s Festival of Songs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, in the Culture Center Theater at the State Capitol Complex in Charleston. Each of the choirs will have 15-minute performances during the daylong event. In a special partnership with West Virginia Media, the performances will be taped and showcased Christmas morning on West Virginia Media television stations throughout the state.
“We are delighted to welcome these talented young performers to the State Capitol to showcase their music,” said First Lady Joanne Jaeger Tomblin, who will welcome the students on Saturday morning. “This is a season that is celebrated with music and we are looking forward to hearing so many outstanding performers from across the Mountain State.”
The Festival of Songs program is free and open to the public.

10:15 a.m. - Braxton County High School Choir
10:45 a.m. - Winfield High School General Admission
11 a.m. - Poca High School Visual Volume
11:15 a.m. - Fairmont High School Madrigal Singers
11:30 a.m. - Elkins High School Vocal Ensemble
11:45 a.m. - Nicholas County High School Chorus
12:30 p.m. - Greenbrier East High School Women’s Ensemble
12:45 p.m. - Hurricane High School Red Hot Show Choir
1 p.m. - John Marshall High School Monarch Choir
1:15 p.m. - Wheeling Park High School The Patriot Choir
1:30 p.m. - Roane County High School Ensemble
1:45 p.m. - Ravenswood High School Rave Review
2 p.m. - Capitol High School VIPs
2:15 p.m. - Woodrow Wilson High School Vocal Ensemble
2:30 p.m. - Cabell Midland High School Rhythm in Red
2:45 p.m. - Mingo County High School Select Ensemble
