CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Tamarack: The Best of West Virginia will hold a jury session at the Culture Center, State Capitol Complex in Charleston, immediately following the “Arts at the Heart of Communities” 2017 Arts Day at the Legislature event. Tamarack seeks unique arts and crafts to showcase at their retail facilities. The West Virginia Division of Culture and History and the West Virginia Commission on the Arts will host the annual Arts Day event from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017. The event celebrates the vitality of the arts in West Virginia and the impact the arts has on cultural growth, economic development and education.
This year’s event will be held in the upper and lower rotundas of the State Capitol and will include information booths representing artists, arts education and arts organizations from across the state. Individual artists and arts organizations are invited to participate. The deadline for registration has been extended to Feb. 8, 2017.
