An independent review panel for the West Virginia Commission on the Arts (WVCA) of the West Virginia Division of Culture and History will meet on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 9 a.m., to consider the Cultural Facilities and Capital Resources grant applications at the Cultural Center in the State Capitol Complex in Charleston. The meeting is open to the public. The panel’s funding recommendations will be presented to the WVCA which will meet in September to make grant awards.
The Cultural Facilities and Capital Resources grant program offers competitive grant opportunities for West Virginia arts organizations as a primary focus and history organizations as a secondary focus, for the acquisition, renovation and construction of cultural facilities. The program also provides for accessibility improvements and capital purchases. Funds for this program are provided by the West Virginia Lottery.
