Alison Helm: Tangible FormsFifteen works of sculpture as well as three pastels were featured in the current exhibit at the Art Gallery of the Cultural Center at the State Capitol Complex in Charleston. Entitled Alison Helm: Tangible Forms, the show featured recent creations by the Morgantown artist. The large abstract sculptures of steel, wood and glass are typical of the style that has made Helm a successful artist as well as coordinator of the sculpture program at West Virginia University. Her previous work is part of many public collections, and other works have been displayed internationally. She is frequently featured in juried shows as well as group and solo exhibitions. The show was on display through January 5, 2003.
